Beginners will also be taught simple Breathing, Relaxation & Meditation techniques that can be done anywhere at anytime to return a fraught mind back to peace and harmony

  • General classes focusing on the fundamentals of alignment and present moment awareness.

  • Suitable for everyone, particularly those new to yoga & those who have a little experience or are returning to yoga after a few years break

Intermediate Yoga Classes

A strong Iyengar styled yoga class suitable for serious students of an intermediate level with a strong desire to progress in Classical:

  • Asana – Yoga Postures

  • Pranayama – Deep Breathing

  • Meditation - Deep Relaxation

The intermediate to advanced classes will work at developing a proficiency in all variations & progressions of the postures creating a greater awareness of body mechanics and subtle anatomy, thereby gaining an appreciation of the internal effects. At this level a full range of inverted (upside down) postures and Pranayamas (breathing exercises) are taught.

Pranayama is the art of consciously deepening, directing and regulating the breath which helps to relax the mind and body, strengthen the immune system and reduce anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, stress and related illness and will lead one quite naturally to a state of relaxation the prefect prelude to Meditation.
