Dawn a former Personal Trainer, Sports Massage Therapist & Pilates Instructor now a Senior Karuna Yoga Teacher

Dawn has over 12 years experience, a great understanding of the body and a natural gift for teaching. She encourages you to be at ease in the postures, aware of the breath and present in every moment.

Her teacher Ruth White inspires Dawn’s approach to yoga, which is steeped in the Iyengar tradition of Precision & Alignment. Ruth was a student of B.K.S Iyengar for over twenty years and is an ever-present source of inspiration and encouragement.

 

Dawn’s approach is based around…

  • The principals of correct body alignment

  • The importance of maintaining structural integrity,

  • core stability and balance

  • An awareness of the breath and coordinating it with movement

  • Adapting and modifying to suit the needs of the participant

  • An awareness of the incredible potential that we have for healing, given the right internal and external environment

  • Improving health, strength, flexibility, mobility and well being.

 

The aim of her classes is to inspire you to practice with an understanding and personal experience of the benefits so that you may build your own practice or safely guide others.
